- Phase 1: Submission with fee payment from April 16 to April 20, 2026
- Phase 2: Completion of submissions and payments within the same period
- Final Window: Submission with late fee from April 21 to April 22, 2026

CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 Eligibility and Guidelines
CBSE has set clear rules for students who want to appear in the second board exam. Only students who passed the main Class 10 exam can apply to improve marks in up to three subjects, such as Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Languages. Important points include:
- About 1,47,172 students are in the compartment category
- Compartment students will stay in the same category
- Students in the Essential Repeat category cannot apply
- Facilities for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) will continue for those already registered
- Students in the Sports category can appear only with prior approval
CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 Fee Structure and Payment Mode
The board has fixed the fees for the second board exam. Payments must be done during the submission window. The fee details are:
- INR 320 per subject for students in India and Nepal
- INR 1100 per subject for students outside India
- A late fee of INR 2000 applies during the final window
All payments must be made online using debit card, credit card, NEFT, RTGS, UPI, or net banking. Offline payments are not accepted.
