Avenue Supermarts Q4 Profit Rises 19% to ₹657 Crore

D-Mart parent Avenue Supermarts’ Q4 profit jumps 19% YoY to ₹657 crore, EBITDA surges 27%

Avenue Supermarts Limited, the parent company of D-Mart, posted a 19% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹657 crore for the quarter ending March 2026. The company’s revenue from operations rose 18.9% to ₹17,683.86 crore compared to ₹14,871.86 crore in the same period last fiscal year.

EBITDA, or operating profit, surged 26.8% to ₹1,211 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹955 crore in Q4 FY25, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 6.8% from 6.4% a year earlier.

Annual Profit Growth and Store Expansion

For the full fiscal year 2026, Avenue Supermarts reported a net profit of ₹2,969.86 crore, marking a 9.7% increase over the previous year. The company opened 58 new stores during the quarter, reaching a milestone of 500 D-Mart outlets nationwide.

Managing Director and CEO Anshul Asawa highlighted that two-year-old stores grew sales by 10.8% in Q4 FY26, up from 8.1% in the prior year’s quarter. He noted a slight improvement in gross margins and stable cost growth aligned with business expansion. Asawa also mentioned that geopolitical tensions in March 2026 temporarily boosted consumer buying, though demand normalized by month-end, and supply chains remained largely unaffected.

E-Commerce Focus and Market Presence

Vikram Dasu, Whole Time Director and CEO of Avenue E-Commerce, said the DMart Ready online business concentrated on key metropolitan areas, streamlining delivery channels with a renewed emphasis on home delivery. The company discontinued operations in one city during the quarter and now operates in 18 cities as of March 31, 2026.

Avenue Supermarts, promoted by Radhakishan Damani and family, operates across multiple Indian states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, NCR, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

Shares of Avenue Supermarts closed slightly lower at ₹4,585.90 on the National Stock Exchange on April 30, 2026, ahead of the company’s results announcement on May 2.
