Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Exam Results 2026: Krishna District Leads

Introduction

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) results for first and second-year students were announced on April 15, 2026. Education Minister Nara Lokesh shared that this year’s results show better academic performance across the state.

The pass rate increased notably, with 77% of first-year students and 81% of second-year students passing. More than 10.15 lakh students appeared for the exams, showing a rise in success rates.

District Rankings: Krishna Takes the Lead

Krishna district stood out as the best performer for both first and second-year exams. In the second-year general category, Krishna achieved a 92% pass rate, with 19,952 students passing out of 21,669 candidates. This shows the district’s strong focus on education.

Guntur district came second with an 88% pass rate, and NTR district was third with 87%. These results show how districts in Andhra Pradesh are competing and improving their education standards.

First-Year Results: A Closer Look

For the first-year exams, Guntur district again performed well, securing second place with an 88% pass rate. Visakhapatnam district followed with an 85% pass rate. These consistent results suggest strong education systems and teaching methods in these areas.

Areas Needing Improvement

Despite good overall results, Annamayya district had the lowest number of students passing in both first and second years. Exact numbers were not shared, but this points to a need for better academic support and resources there. Authorities might need to focus on helping students in Annamayya improve their results.

Implications for Students and Future Prospects

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Public Exam results reflect students’ hard work and set a standard for future education plans. With rising pass rates, competition for higher education will increase. Students from top districts like Krishna and Guntur may have better chances for scholarships and admission to top colleges.

At the same time, the low performance in districts like Annamayya shows the need for fair access to quality education. As students move forward, it is important for education leaders to address these gaps so all students can succeed.
