Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the North Tech Symposium in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on May 4, 2026. The three-day event brings together defence technology innovators, industry leaders, and military officials to showcase cutting-edge advancements.
The symposium, themed ‘Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge,’ is jointly organized by the Northern and Central Commands of the Indian Army along with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM).
Showcasing Defence Innovations
A total of 284 companies, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), private defence technology firms, start-ups, and innovators from the armed forces, are participating in the exhibition. They are displaying their latest technologies aimed at enhancing operational capabilities and maintenance efficiency.
Promoting Self-Reliance and Collaboration
The event focuses on identifying technologies suitable for field deployment and streamlining procurement processes to support a sustainable and self-reliant defence ecosystem for the Indian Army. It also fosters collaboration among defence forces, scientists, industry experts, and academia to strengthen national security and technological excellence.
The symposium is scheduled to conclude on May 6, 2026.
