CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Announcement
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the Class 12 result for 2026 in the third week of May. Students can view and download their marksheets by logging in with their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.
This year, CBSE introduced an On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluating answer sheets. Instead of physical checking, the answer scripts were scanned and assessed digitally on a secure platform.
Exam Schedule
The Class 12 board exams for science, commerce, and arts streams were held from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Practical exams took place earlier, between January 1 and February 14, 2026, for regular schools.
How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026
Students can check their results through several official websites and digital platforms to avoid delays on result day. Apart from the main CBSE website, results will be available on other official portals as well as on DigiLocker and the UMANG app. Results can also be received via SMS and IVRS services.

Passing Criteria for CBSE Class 12 Exams
To pass the Class 12 exams, students must score at least 33% in each subject. Separate minimum marks are required for theory and practical parts where applicable. The board may also award grace marks to students who just miss the passing marks.
