MHT CET 2026 April 19 Shift Timings

The exam had two parts:

  • Paper 1: Physics + Chemistry (90 minutes)
  • Paper 2: Mathematics (90 minutes)

Shift timings were:

  • Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Students said Shift 1 was moderately difficult overall. Mathematics was long and tricky, making it hard to manage time. Physics was easy to moderate with mostly formula-based questions. Chemistry was easy and simple. Many students felt 90 minutes was not enough for Mathematics because of long calculations and tough questions. Physics and Chemistry were easier to finish in the given time.

MHT CET April 19 Shift 2 Analysis

Shift 2 was rated easy to moderate overall. Mathematics was again long but a bit easier than Shift 1. Some questions from previous years appeared again. In Mathematics, more questions came from:

  • Electromagnetism
  • Physical Chemistry
  • Periodic Classification
  • Differential Equations

Most students could answer most questions comfortably in Shift 2.

Subject-Wise Difficulty Level

Subject Shift 1 Shift 2
Physics Easy to Moderate Easy to Moderate
Chemistry Easy Easy
Mathematics Moderate to Tough, lengthy and tricky Moderate, lengthy
Overall Moderate Easy to Moderate

The difficulty trend was: Mathematics hardest, then Physics, then Chemistry.
